2007 ACHA Little World Hunt Report
The 37th annual ACHA
Little World Hunt is over and in the books. The event was a bittersweet
experience. Most of the participants had a good time, but it was hard to
believe the passing of former ACHA President Bob Johnston Sr. who passed away
the week before and the absence of Miss Opal, his wife of 55 years. Our
thoughts and prayers go out to the Johnston
family. No man has ever had a more
fitting funeral service. It was first class. ACHA will miss them.
The weather was good and
the food was better. The Todd Co. coonhunters really
know how to put on a hunt. They really get the youth involved and they have
excellent facilities and everything runs smooth. Thank you Allen, Vernon and
the bunch.
68 dogs competed for the
Little World Champion title on Friday and Saturday and another 27 dogs competed
in the Breed warmup on Thursday where all the breeds compete against themselves. The Redbones and Blueticks
weren't represented but the rest of the breeds showed up.
